We had a K9 when our guy was little and he grew out of it. I love taking him everywhere with us. And now we are back at it this backpack. Love this brand. Love the look. Love my my puppy 💚💚
I'm so disappointed because I really loved my sport sack trainer, but after using it for only 12 months, the zipper totally broke. This bag is not made to be durable.
I couldn’t be happier with the quality of the Plus 2 - the Klearance I received was in perfect shape with no defects I could find and tags on (although I don’t think that’s a guarantee, just my experience). My dog was adapted to it extremely quickly - two days of relatively brief introductions and we were off. He sleeps in it when we’re out for too long and will easily let me take him in/out on the go - just need a flat surface to do it. Biggest thing was getting him to let me adjust his tookus in and staying laying to keep his front legs in, but he gets better and better. We practiced trust pick-ups and ‘falls’ (holding one strap so he’s hanging/off center) with him fully strapped over a bed so we both could adjust to getting the pack on and off my back. There was some initial concern, but the pack keeps him so secure that we both felt confident within a day. First full run out was no issue all. Extremely secure and the weight distribution is a dream. Pretty sure I sold about four of them that night (or at least hope I did!).
Also wanted to note the absolutely FANTASTIC customer service. My call was answered on Black Friday immediately and they spent plenty of time talking me through my purchase. I stupidly didn’t listen to the size recommendation and on my second call they were the absolute best about helping me return and get what I actually needed and adjust color/size.
Hands down one of my favorite companies I’ve purchased from. If you have any doubts, my recommendation is buy it.
For reference, my dog is an 18-22lb Cairn Terrier (just a stocky boy) and he fit the medium, but does need a booster block for it.
Apologies for the blurry pictures - modeled by two friends showing the front ‘conversion’ (which by the way, as a woman it let’s you go to the restroom with the pack and not have to hang it/put it on the floor; we all know why that matters), and how your dog will suddenly become a bartender to help with the bills if you get this pack.
It allowed my senior dog to go on longer hikes and experience all the adventures she used to be able to Tom. She willingly goes in when she gets tired about halfway through a hike. She seems nice and cozy inside and loves looking around while riding. Thank you for making this!!!
Backpack comes in handy for training. My husband and I ate training to hike Mont Blanc in July. We have our pup walk 2-3 miles then pop him in the backpack. He loves it.
I decided to sell the car but obviously didn't want to leave Dango behind. Dogs are allowed on the Cincinnati Metro if they're in a carrier, so I got the Trainer. It is well made, despite being the cheapesr option. I would recommend one of the more robust ones for trails, but for city public transit, walking, and biking, this is perfect. He doesn't like it yet... but once we actually start going out on adventures and he sees why I got it, I'm sure he'll be eager to go in the backpack.
He's not very treat motivated, so I did find that for us the best way to get him desensitized to the bag is to just stick him in there despite the protests and praise him bunches when he's in calmly.
To get my stubborn pup in the bag I first clipped the carabiner to his collar to prevent him from running off. Normally, after I think you're supposed to put your pups legs through the holes... my dog is a protester so I buckled the color next and zipped halfway (carefully ensuring no fur was stuck). This secured him enough to be able to pull his legs through without him thrashing and hurting himself. Once it was zipped and I got it on my back he was much calmer.
Large was a good size for a Shiba Inu. It is clear this model is designed for smaller dogs and large breed puppies as a stepping stone for the more robust ones... eventually if the Urban one ever comes in stock again I'd love to get that one.
I have not had a chance to test out the waterproofing, but in general I think it will keep the weather out from the feel of the material.
I attached a video of his first time in the k9 sport sack.
That block is definitely a game changer. I have a 10 pound chihuahua and the XS sack seemed too big until I placed the block.
The block is also well made..
Perfect K9 sack for my small dog that sometimes (most of the times) doesn’t want to walk. Plus she enjoys it.
I am not using this pop-up tent for camping. I have a cranky senior red heeler who recently decided that she no longer wants the rest of the pack to enter the bedroom at night. When she is in the tent she can’t see them walk in = no drama.
Plus, she really likes the tent. I’ve got a bolster bed in it and a sheet over the top to keep it dark. She loves her cave and it makes bedtime much more pleasant for everyone. The tent weighs almost nothing and it is easy to pick up and move.
The waist belt is a game changer. The Knavigate is a lighter option with a waist belt and works perfect for our corgis.
We get a Medium as they are smaller/thinner corgis and it’s perfect.
Was recommended by the vet to keep Kona away from dogs while we waited for her to complete her vaccinations. However, I still wanted to take her outside on hikes and this pack came in clutch on a trip to Arizona, allowing her to experience the outside world without worry of her picking up bugs. From hikes in the desert to walking around outlet/malls, Kona comfortably sat in her backpack. My only concern is that she may become too lazy knowing her owner is willing to carry her when tired 😅. So many people commented on the backpacks utility and wanted to get one for themselves.
Hands down one of the best investments I made during Kona's first year of life. Will definitely be purchasing a bigger backpack for when I eventually take Kona on much longer hikes. Thanks for this amazing product!
We are now able to take our aging basset on walks and hikes. Great backpack!
My son just loves the doggie back pack for his new puppy. Good dog also loves it!
Love it. My dog adapted quickly. Seems so far to be a great gift. Got it as a Christmas present.
We love our trainer, it’s perfect! Our little one goes everywhere in it!
The K9 Sport Sack was designed exactly for this! Let your pup feel the wind in its face.
Pets can be allowed on public transportation as long as they are in carriers and the K9 Sport Sack fits that bill.
We know your dog was meant to walk and play, but when he/she tires out or gets hurt we're here for relief!
Keep you pet off the ground and on your back when shopping or strolling around town.
