We were heading to Acadia National Park and wanted to see as much as we could but with Riley being 15 years old and having a leg injury we figured we needed to come up with something to carry her when she needed a break from walking. Saw the Kolossus and immediately ordered it. I added the water repelling treatment and the name tag and the order was complete. Then our departure date was moved up and we needed the pack sooner. I called up customer service, they fast tracked the order and we got the pack before we left and we did some extra sight seeing with Riley because we had the pack. She is still getting use to it as she has always been a high energy Wheaty(think they all are). Need to get her higher up in the pack and we will continue to practice with her in it.
Customer service really stepped up to get us the pack so big shout out to them! Highly recommend these products.
stylish and functional! this is going to help so much with long trips as my terrier has tiny legs. thanks k9!
K9 Sports Sack PLUS 2. This is an amazing product. I have a rescue puppy who was terrified of people. I can now take her in public on my back, as she feels safe close to me. I cannot say enough good things about this product . I even bought a second one after she outgrew her first one.
The sportsack is great for me to ride my bike with my 16 Lb. dog. The booster block greatly improved the fit for him and me because his feet had something solid to rest on and his head stayed high, paws on my shoulders.
He wasn't too sure at first, trying to get him properly in the sack. But after practicing a few times, he realized the sack meant he would get to stay with me and go somewhere at the same time. He loves it now, gets excited but quickly sits still so I can "bag him up".
Thank you for making K9Sportsack with booster block a comfortable and well designed product. Definitely worth the money.
We are extremely pleased with the customer service we received, when trying to find the exact size of carrier in the Plus 2. Though we measured and watched the videos, we found the medium too long for our Cairn Terrier mix dog. We were pressured for time to get this remedied, as we were leaving on a 20-day road trip in a week, so we called and K9 Sport Sack made it simple to make the exchange/swap with us, by sending the small size out immediately, while we used their return label and immediately sent out the one that was too large! Not every company would give you that personalized service! It was so easy to do this. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the sack in most places on our journey, but we did practice putting Raffi in the sack several times, and he loves looking over my shoulder! He is a very anxious dog but feels quite safe and secure in this new travel mode!! Kudos to K9 Sport Sack!
I can't recommend this pad highly enough. We've had ours for two years now and used it plenty. As I was feeling gratitude for this pad this weekend and how it's lasted, I had to write a review. It's held up well to rough ground surfaces and dog claws. Most importantly it keeps our senior pup super happy and comfortable. A foam ground pad just wasn't cutting it anymore for our senior and he kept trying to push us off our pads. We all sleep happy now that he's got this comfortable pad of his own. As soon as we get into camp he flops down on it and is perfectly content doing something he loves to do, being in the backcountry. Diego is 17 now and this pad helps him get good rest so he can keep at it and enjoy every minute out. Very grateful for this product. It's a little heavy compared to other foam pads, but I'll take that for how resistant the material is and how well it's held up.
I was a little skeptical about purchasing this sport sack, however I’m so glad I did! It is everything I expected and I’m so excited that I can now bring my pup along for any adventure!
Bella loves her K9 sport sack and it fits her perfectly. She is 17 inches and 25 pounds, we purchased the medium. The pack is very comfortable and supportive. Love the water bottle and storage container. Highly reccomend.
The K9 pack has literally helped us immensely with now being able to bring our 13 yr old Chihuahua on our walks or hikes where as previously, we were locked with either carrying her in our arms OR just not bringing her all together. This has been a game changer to allow her to see and smell/sniff and enjoy the fresh air as much as our other dog on her 4 legs! Thanks for making such a animal-forward item -- it's helped our family in more ways than I can express!
We gave our daughter one for her dog and she loved it so we had to have one for our Pippa. ❤️❤️
Mochila para trasporte de mi salchicha
I was a little worried this bag wouldn't fit because my dog is so large. But it fits perfectly. Supports her well and it wasn't hard to get her inside the bag thanks to the K9 sportsack tutorial. She wasn't nervous getting inside the bag and she was a champ while being carried. Highly recommend for large dogs such as German Shepherds.
This is the picture of only the 2nd practice. #cutekai just fell asleep on my shoulder. He didn't care.
Good advice to truly read the instructions no matter how excited you are.
#cutekai is 40 lbs and full grown small aussie. He didn't take to the pack immediately but with the enormous amount of treats he was getting, he didn't care.
Tip: practice on the bed. That way they have space and you can roll them around to do the straps up. Then, stand them up, hold one of the straps, sit down, engage straps and off you go.
Our miniature schnauzer has never liked wearing anything other than her collar, so I was worried that she wouldn't like being strapped into a backpack.
To help warm her up to it, we set it down on the floor, and put treats in random parts of the pack. We did that for about 24 hours before ever trying to get her inside it. When we finally did, she was a bit confused at first (after all, she thought it was just a treat dispenser!), but once I put it on and started rolling down the street on a bicycle with her, she absolutely loved it!
She pretty much just sniffs at the air the whole time, much like when we drive in a car with the window down. She hardly ever squirms, so I think she feels comfortable. Now that she's had the bicycling experience, if I start to roll the bike without her, she cries with that "don't leave without me!" sound!
Now that we've had the Knavigate for about a month, her disposition toward the pack is much like toward her harness - she still doesn't _love_ the process of putting it on, but she tolerates it because she knows she's going to love what's on the other side.
Also, just gotta say - bicycling around town with a mini schnauzer on your back is adorable. People always want to talk with you about it!
It only took a few tries to get her used to getting in and out of her backpack. It has taken me longer to figure out how to put it on my back. Now as soon as she see it, she knows she is going for a ride. Lilo must be the most photographed doodle in our city. When you see her, post it on instagram! @lilojonesthedood
Just wish i remembered to order her ID tag...next time
